Great little plane. Very nice modeling and flight dynamics. This type of plane gets overlooked in flight sim, the user built experimental/kit builds that are flying from many farms, small airports. I look forward to the development updates to the eurofox. Will there be a paintkit? For livery projects? Thank you for bringing this to x-plane.

Hey! Picked up a copy this morning, been waiting for this to be released. Great plane you've created!
So far no issues that I've noticed. Only minor thing I did was rename the prop.png so that it would have a 3d prop when looking with an outside view.
Definitely a fun flyer, thanks for the hard work!
Look forward to spending more time with it and will report back.

Great job on this release. I would also like to see a paint kit and I agree with taildraggin68 that this class of plane has been lacking in XP and this is a very welcome addition. I did notice that in XP11 with HDR on and texture quality set to maximum the text on the panel is quite difficult to read. Also, I don't know if the smudged look on the gauges is mimicking reflections or dirt, but I would like to see them cleaned up a bit. Not a criticism, just my personal preference. Looking forward to the further development and the release of the tail dragger model. I'll have hours of fun with this little plane and it is easily the best bargain for payware in XP. Thanks!

Hello,
It's a cool airplane to fly with, even if it use too much "fps" for a small airplane ... I've got a problem to start on a gravel airway, the aircraft remains fixed as with the brake. I've try with other airplanes and no problem.

I have already started the work on the tail dragger addition and guess what...the instrument panel I've chose for it is the dark shaded one. Your great screenshots are demonstrating the general feel of the dark panel. Right now the update plan focus is mainly on setting the interior components (including the instrument panel) to HD resolution, as well as performance tuning. So...painting kits may be down the road, but not until the package will get to its final development goals. Great screenshots buddy

Thanks! Regarding the textures resolution, please read my previous answer to taildraggin68. The dirty gauged is an artistic choice I've made, and I will probably set it up to be more "clean" in one of the upcoming updates. Thanks again

Nice little airplane.
One issue, I can't seem to get enough up-elevator authority at slow speeds; I'm not able to flare for landing or perform power-off stalls. Has anyone else had this experience?
Thanks!

Thanks! Hi eulereit, Thanks! Are you using the elevator trim? I've flight-tested the model and tuned it so if you are coming in for a landing and set the engine to idle prone to the flare, and then holding it up, the aircraft will touchdown in approximately 45-50 knots, as it should be in the real aircraft. This maneuver requires a proper setting of the elevator trim. The only suggestion I have for the moment is to check your trim settings (set it up with the joystick button or other key). While trimming look down to the trim handle between the seats and see if it moving up/down. Same goes to power-off stalls. Note that the aircraft in its current version is setup with a mid-forward c.g. so the use of trim is required. The reason is because the light aircraft is quite sensitive (in X-Plane) to pitch moments, and I wanted to ease up the pilot workload in straight and level cruise. Anyways, the flying characteristics of the aircraft are still prone to some changes, as the aircraft is getting "mature" (development wise) every day

Hi JetMan,
great little Plane, I agree with most of the earlier Postings. Thanks a lot!
Some remarks: The max. RPM during Take off is far under the Numbers of the real plane. During Take off with TWO in my real Eurofox i get 5100 RPM in the initial run. The X-EFOX will give me 4200 or something. May the Prop is Different? I will try to check. The Prop which is Standard for the 912 with 80 hp is a Woodcomp SR 200 here for the German Versions like i have one.
Next thing is the Fuel Consumption. I can read somewhat 1,5 Gallons in Cruise. Depending on Conditions the real Eurofox (912 80hp) will consume 13 to 14 Liters per Hour with 4600/4800 RPM and 140/160 km/h and 24 Liters per Hour during Take off, this are nearly 3 times the amount of what the X-EFOX will use .
Just for making good things even better ;o)
Kind regards Thomas

Hi and thanks!
Both issues (static RPM and other aircraft performance matters) are known. Getting an X-Plane aircraft to perform realistically throughout most of the flight envelope (static, cruise, stalls, flaps etc...) in a single model is a huge challenge and will take a while to achieve. It is already scheduled for a tuning process in the upcoming uppdates.
Thanks for the important inputs and feedback!

Hello, It's a cool airplane to fly with, even if it use too much "fps" for a small airplane ... I've got a problem to start on a gravel airway, the aircraft remains fixed as with the brake. I've try with other airplanes and no problem. I have actually run into this once already as well... I didn't try and take off from a gravel runway, but landed on a back country area near a river in the great Bella Coola scenery. After landing and stopping, I could under no circumstance get the EuroFOX to move again. Tires were fine (no XP blown tire warnings like you can get after a hard landing), was a soft/smooth landing. It was literally glued to the ground. Brakes on/off, full throttle, flaps up or down, rocking with controls etc, nothing got it to move. This was in XP10. Otherwise, has been a great aircraft and experience! Thanks again and look forward to future versions!
