I must be doing something wrong. When I get it set up to crank over, I click on the magneto/starter key until it goes to the start position. But it only stays in the start position a milisecond before dropping back to "both." The result is that the starter tries to engage just a flash, then stops. Is there something I missed in the manual about this?
By the way, I've said it on the XPlane forum, but thanks for making this experimental icon. I've seen so many over the years, and was so excited by it when Rutan first rolled the design out. It was an early experimental love for me (and the first plane that seduced me away from the classics like the Cub or Stearman). It's beautiful and a delight to fly.

Hi Have you switched the master power to 'on'? it should do the trick. Thank you for your feedback! Yes, it is indeed a legendary icon...wanted to own one, so I've created it for X-Plane BTW - Burt Rutan himself gave me his "blessing" for this project! that was way toooo exciting! Please let me know if you've got the starting issue fixed.

Yes, I had the power switch set to on, and the fuel pump on as well. That was my first time using it, though. I've been away from my computer for a few months.
Anyway, I started XP back up and loaded it in again and this time it started up fine. Must have been something about first use.
