Would love a Tach-time meter in the cockpit.
Aspects: a) WIBNI starts at 0 when plane is installed new, (v1.4 came with about 3.2 hours on the _hobs_time field - not a big deal) b) Should explain where to set value when re-installing, (_hobs_time in VSL LongEZ_prefs.txt edit?) c) Upgrades should suggest preserve and restore pilot's value d) Increments when alternator/engine is running (does the x-plane _hobs_time increment on master switch or engine running?)

"Page 64" (next to last page 52 of 53) of Long-EZ-POH-001.pdf AFTER LANDING/SHUTDOWN checklist:
"Depale, hold nose, retract gear, lower nose" -> "Deplane, hold nose, retract gear, lower nose"

Here's my two centavos: I would like to be able to create a custom tail-number for my aircraft and have it stick such that it survives updates. I would suggest the following attributes: - It should be something that's easy to change - a preferences file or some programmatic way to change it that's easy for the customer to use.
- It should affect every instance of the tail number, wherever it may be.
(i.e. Nameplates in the cockpit, artwork on the outside of the plane wherever it may be, along with any other interior or exterior details that may have the tail number on them.)
- It should be persistent; that is, immune from changes during updates, etc.
This would add value to ANY plane you folks create, not just the LongEZ
Thanks! Jim

Interesting re-reading my own comments in this forum from 2 years ago. So much has happened over that short period of time, the most interesting of which, for the sake of this forum, was the acquisition of a real world Long-EZ and (by now) over 60 hours of flight in it. I still find this sim useful and use it regularly, but with some real world experience in this airplane I am now left wishing for some modifications to the model that would make it even more realistic and closer to what I fly, and to what I would think most pilots would prefer to fly:
1) Bigger engine (O-320) with 10:1 pistons for ~ 180 hp (900 to 1000 lb empty weight) 2) Hertzler Silver Bullet or 3-bladed Catto fixed pitch prop (forget the Aeromatic variable pitch propeller fantasy in the current model) 3) Get rid of the underbelly scoop and replace with NACA and "armpit" ports for engine cooling and lower drag 4) Lower coefficient of friction of tires and brakes, model brakes are way too "strong" 5) Update avionics from the outdated GNS-530 to a Garmin G3X (legacy) in the steam gauge version
I hope some day this excellent model will get some of these upgrades. Maybe another version with these features?

Hi! Thank you for your suggestions! Due to overall prioritization with regards to X-Plane 12, I will come back with a reply for your request a bit further in the near future. All requests are being noted and listed and users suggestions/requests are part of the development road-map considerations.
I will follow up in here when ready.
