I'm new to XP, but have been a flight sim "tinkerer" (ATP, MSFS, etc.) since '84. Just came over to XP when I saw what XP11 looked like, and better yet, where it was going. Plus, now I'm retired which means I have more time (so they tell me) and not as much money (very real.) I feel like I spend more time learning about XP and the various plugins/addons/flight planning options/etc., than I do flying. (This conversation is going somewhere relevant, I promise.) So then I start looking at the default AC, and the numerous downloads that are available. Now I'm a GA guy. Low, sort of slow, and easy to fly. I don't do all the systems and procedures - just enough to enjoy it. Yet I enjoy details. So I bought a couple GAs and soon discovered that some of these addons in XP world aren't quite as mature as I was used to in FSX.
So one of my "kids" (39 years old) gave me some $ for my 69th bday recently and I decided to look hard for an affordable, well developed GA. A few days ago I was looking at a Premier1Driver video on YouTube, and he was taking a Tecnam 2006T out for a test drive with the sales guy. Whoa! I'd never taken that one seriously, but I liked it, especially since it was a high wing, twin-engine with great slow speed handling qualities! Then I wondered if anyone had developed that for XP, because I hadn't recalled seeing one. So i checked and discovered the VSKY 2006T! I had read where many posters spoke highly of VSKY products and service, so I decided to check it out and discovered that it looked great, sounded great, was receiving good reviews, and was very affordable!!
So I put the 2006T in my hangar yesterday, and then went and read every post on this site to get a sense of the past development issues. Very impressed with the developers responsiveness to very detailed comments! I look forward to supporting VSKY and especially growing with the capabilities of the 2006T. Thanks for reading this far. Looking forward to benefitting from everyone's comments.
