Hi folks! first of all, I’m loving the dc3 you’ve made! just a quick spot of feedback/suggestion. I’m not aware of how easy it is to implement in xplane11 but it would really help my flying (and I’m sure others too!)
when flying in icing conditions, it would be nice to see the ice buildup on the wings and windows. I had a situation where I was flying in VATSIM this past weekend where the plane dropped like a rock three times. I had thought it was the mountainous terrain providing up and down drafts. Turns out it was icing - even with all heating on and the cowl flaps/deicing on!
seeing the ice build up or melt off would’ve helped my judgement, as I had thought it was an engine issue (one of the engines was underperforming but the other wasn’t)

<Solved>
Short Question about the visible icing - is there a Setting to be activated, to see the icing on the Wings ? I did try some very bad and cold Wheather Flights but only one times the Flight Model changed rapidly - switching to outside view shows no ice an the Wings, so maybe the Engines freezed in this case. (V2.7b1) Win10-64
<Solved> ... Sorry for the Question - sometimes you only had to read a few Articles about Icing on a Wing of a Plane and it works ...
By the Way - great Work for a flying Lab and much fun to engage the Sperry and switch the GPS off.

Hi Sorry for the late response! Yes, icing needs a certain condition to occur, not only "the coldest weather". I'm glad you've been able to resolve it. Thanks for your feedback! I like the "Sperry way" as well

In icing conditions, it seems the engines are affected differently. With all of the icing stuff on, there's a significant difference in MP between engines #1 and #2 here's a quick video of it... vimeo.com/370567504/645395c5d5
