I like to see my landings to see what I did right or wrong. So, I land and I turn to the replay. Is there a noise in the replays, like the helicopter slides along the surface of the landing spot? Or am I just hearing things?

Or am I just hearing things? Hi No...you are not hearing things LOL! The VSKYLABS Guimbal Cabri G2 is designed with a multi-contact-point-skids configuration, which is allowing a more precise (and realistic) interaction and sensing of the ground. The "side effect" of this design is that it is allowing to create a multi point, realistic sound emissions from the skids-to-ground interaction. The result is pretty cool In this video...there are some tests showing the Cabri "moping the runway" in some reckless low-level flying, trying to create more complex interaction with the ground. FMOD Sound package is under development side by side with the project.

Oh wait...checked it thoroughly...yes there are some situations in which after touch down and then going to replay, the sliding sounds keeps on running. You bug has been successfully confirmed!

Hello, I have an issue with the sliding/noise when parked on the grass and the engine is off. The Cabri is still slightly moving. It also moves as if being blown by a very strong wind when on hard surface runway and again the engine is off. The wind is set to zero. I am using version 1.30b
Cheers

Yes it is a known issue in X-Plane (it is not related to the Cabri in particular), and it occurs when the system is being challenged by the rendering engine in X-Plane. Go to General Settings in X-Plane and set the flight model per frame value to a higher value (above 4 or 5 even) and see if the issue is still existing. Other solution would be to set the rendering options into a lower settings. btw, this X-Plane's fluctuation issue occurs mostly when the rendering is heavy on the system, and when lightweight models are being used... Let me know if you are still having issues! JMH

Cheers for the quick reply. setting the flight model per frame value to a higher value seems to have sorted the problem.
Many thanks

Hi I love this helo and try landing anywhere, on the fregate per exemple but if the fregate is going at 8-10 knots, after the landing , X-P believe that I am going at 8-10 knots and it is sounds emissions like sliding skids . It's not a issue but it’s surprising (Sorry for my English)

The reason you are hearing the sliding noise is related to the positive ground speed in X-Plane, while "riding" on the ship. Thank you for the input!
