Hello from North Texas. I've been in Flight Simulation dating back to Flight Unlimited (which was actually very good but very "limited"), the Pro Pilot Series and then into MS Flight Simulators 2004, FSX, P3D and finally XP-11. I still fly quite a bit in FSX, dropped P3D completely and purchased X-Plane as it's replacement.
I am a Retired AF Tech Sgt., with 26 years of both Active Duty and Reserves, the last 10 were Air Reserve Technician (basically Full Time Reservist). Retired in 2007. One of the hi lites of my Air Force career came Friday, June 17, 2002 when I was privileged to get a back seat ride in one of our two "D" Model F-16's. An hour of adrenaline pumping joy, starting with a "max-climb" to 10,000, some "hands on" flying and then out over the east coast waters to do a mach run. Yes I have been there, done that, got the certificate, lol
Although I enjoy all types of flying I am generally a GA pilot who enjoys both small twins or single engine of almost any type. I was a speed junkie while I was in the Military as you can imagine, but in my retirement years I have mellowed and slow movers are more my speed now. Speaking of which. . .the reason that brought me to VSKYLABS. . .the recently released Icon-A5. I flew several models in FSX and really enjoyed it immensely so when I saw the WIP shots from their Facebook page I knew what my next purchase would be.
If you haven't yet, give it a look. . .it's well worth the price and based on the current model being displayed on the Icon website. . .this one is a perfect match. . .take care all!
