Helllo, I have known this for awhile but just getting to it now. I have noticed that the carburetor heat switch is only a two position switch in the VR mode. Obviously Cold, and Hot. The real machine has a three position switch, which includes (Auto), I normally just leave it off unless I am going to altitude. The checklist calls for Auto upon start-up. Just a note and observation on my part. I currently have 141.8ours in the Cabri G2 simulator according to the HOBBS meter. I am enjoying it.
Thanks in advance...…….>>>>>>

Hi JMH,
Hi, can you possibly give an appointment for the carb-heat update?
My panel has already a 3-position switch inserted. All other functions, including the cover switch, are working already via LUA.
And could there also be an adaptation of the rotor-brake function so that an analog axis can be used for this?

Hi there! Well, this is a cool Cabri switch panel! Carb-heat update is undergoing development. It is a bit of a challenge, as it needs some deeper coding, but it will be ready in the near future, if all goes as planned! Analog axis for the rotor brake is also an included feature in the upcoming update. I can't state an exact schedule for this, but it will be released in the near future, within June 2020. Many thanks! JMH

Newbie to the Cabri G2 (and Helicopters) - Carb Heat related question:
I leave my Cabri G2 Carb Heat in the Auto position, and am getting repeated "Carb Ice Suspected: May need carb heat" messages:
This is normal ?, and I should just check the "Don't show this again"?

This is normal ?, and I should just check the "Don't show this again"? Hi! Probable reason for this may be (?) that X-Plane detects the interactivity of the automatic mode, when it is set to 'off' internally and temporarily, as it manages carb temp... and this triggers this message, while a moment later the auto-mode keep on heating...(meaning...that the message becomes non-relevant almost instantly after it was triggered)... For now, you can do: 1)monitor engine for icing conditions, 2)switch it to on in case that you have this message. 3)check the 'don't show this again'. This is now listed for further evaluation...to see if the message indeed related to the reason mentioned above, or of there's other issues...
