I've ben creating an Ignition Key with Air Manager and the ignition_on dataref for the R44 isn't working properly. You can follow this thread to get more details but if you use the Datareftool and "watch" the ignition_on it "bounces" between key positions which is not normal. I've verified by testing with other non-VSKYLABS aircraft. Not a huge issue but it would be nice to get fixed so I can use my touch screen for checklist items, etc. Air Manager Thread on the topic: siminnovations.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=4060&p=31610#p31610

Hi there! The ignition switch is using a flaps-related dataref. This was made to allow the unique turn switch mechanism. You can see the assignment references in the included manual/POH files to be found in the PH folder.

I looked in the POH and if I just click to turn the key off or to prime, the starter light doesn't come up nor is there a start sound so I am perplexed on this. I've figured out the Datarefs for the Air Manager via the POH so thanks but I am just trying to get basic key functionality to work without Air Manager at this point.

Note that the key is being used only for ignition and prime. For starter operation you should use the starter switch assignment which is separated from the ignition key. Ignition key = magnetos + prime Starter switch = starter In the 3D cockpit, the starter switch is located on the right-hand side of the cyclic grip handle, and in the collective head. Let me know if that helps!
