Just picked up this pack today seeing it was updated. Man, what a hoot to fly! This is the definition of STOL fun.
I've always loved the McCulloch J-2, so this was exciting to finally try!
Thanks for the update, great fun to fly around! I'm shocked no one else is talking about this here.
Keep up the awesome work!

Autogyros are such an amazing flying machines. There were times that it was almost forgotten by the "mainstream aviators", but nowadays, with new high tech designs and technology, it has a bright future (in my opinion...). ...down the road I am planning to enrich the Autogyro Project with more models...not sure yet which one to choose, but the 'Cricket' was only the first experiment...

Hi all, love the gyrocopter and flown it a lot in xp10. A little tricky at take off but after that a great way to see the scenery. Now i know there are problems with the gyrocopter in xplane11 (i fly pb8 at the moment) but there is a special version for xp11, so here is my question; am i the only one having problems with the pre rotate arm function? I can move the switch, both with the mouse and joystick, but the pre rotate mechanism stays armed what ever i do (even if sw is off). So take off is not possible. Am i doing something wrong? (in xp10 all is normal) thanks brds Erik

Autogyro's pre-rotate had a bug in X-Plane 11.You should upgrade your X-Plane 11 to the latest version and everything will work as it should be! You should also use the latest version of the VSKYLABS Autogyro. (sorry for seeing your comment almost a week after you have written it!). JetManHuss.

Just purchase the VSKYLABS Autogyro Project from the X-Plane Org Store. After a bad landing and crashing the Autogyro, X-Plane 11 crash. I have tried it a few time with the same result. I have purchase other aircraft's from VSkylabs with no issues. I really enjoy flying VSkylabs aircraft's however I will put the Autogyro aside until there is a fix. Mike

Mike Hi A VSKYLABS model should not be grounded I think I have a solution to your problem: In X-Plane (since it was created), when flying a very light and small aircraft, there is the "shaking" phenomena, especially when your PC is having difficulties to handle X-Plane in high rendering settings. This "shaking" might crash X-Plane, if occured in a "tough" computing situations as an aircraft crashing to the ground. The solution is built inside X-Plane: go to settings 'General' tab. You will notice a 'FLIGHT MODEL' section with 'Flight models per frame' bar. When you experience a "shaky" aircraft, try to move the white circle on the bar to the right, to set a higher rate (from 1 to, lets say 6 or higher). Play with it and find the right place for your system. It will solve the shaky thing, and may solve the "crash X-Plane when crashing". Please let me know if this "tip" was helpful. JetManHuss

Hi, Thank you for your fast response. I have done what you have suggested and finally settle on 3. Everything seem to work fine now. This is a very challenging craft, not easy to master but fun. Thanks again for your help and hope to see other projects in the near future.

OK... No "code" needed. Try to log in to your account at the Sellfy store (you can do it from going to the VSKYLABS store and then login). If you haven't registered to the store already, please do so. Now, go to the download mail and click on the "i" icon. it will offer you to transfer the purchase to your account. Proceed. It may ask you for your own password (same one that you're been using for registration to the store). Please let me know if you're still having problems. We will resolve it JetManHuss.

I just bought this autogyro, and it's a lot of fun! I'm having two small issues with it however. First, there seems to be a bug with the shadows. They flicker, and go way off into the distance as you can see below. Also, I feel like the external camera in 'circle' view is 'too close' to the aircraft. Generally, in my experience, the external camera has a default position a certain distance away from the plane, regardless of its size. I can move the camera back using the comma (,) key, but this resets if I switch to the cockpit view than back again. Below is what I feel is approximately the 'normal' camera distance is without feeling like I'm too close to the aircraft. I'm not sure how this camera distance is determined, but I'm assuming it's something in XPlane. Is there a way to change it? If you don't think you'll be 'updating' this, can you tell me how to do it myself in planemaker? (The above shots show the default camera position, btw) Anyway, thanks for this neat little thing! I'm loving how finicky it is... it's certainly different from any plane in my hangar. Definitely the best $7 I've spent in XP yet! Your studio is great by the way.. cheap but high quality planes that are all very unique and not well covered by other developers. I'll certainly be picking up more in the future!

Your studio is great by the way.. cheap but high quality planes that are all very unique and not well covered by other developers. I'll certainly be picking up more in the future! Hi Thanks for the feedback ! Looking at your screenshots, I can see that something is not right. The shadows artifact shouldn't be there. I am quite certain that you are experiencing GPU related artifact, of plugin related artifact (like plugins that has control on the views). Try do disable your plugins and reset X-Plane, or try to set the rendering options with different parameters (like draw shadow on scenery etc...). Anyways, it is not related to the Autogyro. I'm certain. One of the reasons that I am creating my models based on X-Plane only and not on external plugins is to avoid conflicts, and deliver 100% compatibility with X-Plane and its on-going updates. My models can be considered as "X-Plane native" and there should be a really major problem with X-Plane to make a VSKYLABS model grounded Same goes to external camera in 'circle' view. The initial "distance" in the external 'circle' view is fixed, and its "feel" is affected by your field of view settings (rendering option screen). Try to set the field of view to lower values...and you "feel" close. Set it to higher values...and it feels more distant. By looking at your screenshots, I can estimate that your FOV is somewhere between 45-65 degrees. Your lower screenshots, in which you feel as a 'normal' distance, is not the normal distance, but quite far. Note that you actually move in the scene with the comma/dot keys, while when using the */- keys for zooming in or out, you are not moving, but only zooming while "standing" at the same place. To sum up...these issues can not be altered or tuned in plane maker. The distance at external 'circle' view is a preset that can be changed only by actually "walking" to/from an aircraft by the comma/dot keys...or by changing these values by re-setting the datarefs (by plugins or other applications, which I don't use). Best thing to try is to disable your plugins (if any), and make sure you are using the latest driver for your GPU (shadow artifact). This project will have future updates! but none of them will be able to address these issues. I hope that my reply is useful for you! Please let me know if you've managed to resolve it! Thanks for reaching out

Hi . I just bought this autogyro, and it's a lot of fun! I need to ask you something. I use the Oculus Rift and the "pilot's head" really hinders in virtual reality. In other VSKYLABS airplanes there is the possibility to "turn off the pilot". But in autogyro it is not. It is possible to turn off the "pilot" in the virtual cabin or even better to disable only the "pilot's head"? Thank you.
