Thanks, John H. Hi John Yes of course it is a free update. You should log into your store account and it should be available for you to download. Simply re-download the project. Let me know if you are having issues with it, so I will be able to assist you! Many thanks! JMH

Hi JMH...got the new download...saw it before, but was not sure as the download file didn't indicate Ver 2.0, but the downloaded file does indicate Ver 2.0...
Thanks for your help and the free upgrade!...

Hi. After the last update (V11 VSL ContraVentus v2.5), the charging efficiency indicator is stationary. I tried different reduction modes, charging is there, but the indicator does not work. Also, on a full charge of the batteries, I was able to climb nearly 10,000 feet, I don’t think that this is actually possible. I think the previous version was more realistic.

Have you flown with the Experimental flight model enabled? In addition, the descent speed has changed (in the manual, the marking on the airspeed indicator and on the info page in the ceiling of the cockpit). Plus, the solar panels are now active. However, your flight report does not match the actual performance. Before I dig in further more, let me know if you've flown it with the experimental flight model enabled, and the general atmospheric conditions (specifically outside air temp at sea level). Thanks!

Hi. I flew with the "Experimental Flight Model" turned off. I made another flight with the same weather settings. Climbed to a height of 12,700 feet without recharging. Charging efficiency indicator is working. Maximum efficiency is achieved at a speed of 15 knots. Weather. Temperature +15,5 Altimeter 29,82 Wind 312 4kt.

Note that it should be flown with the experimental flight model enabled (on). Due to improved drag and other aerodynamics aspects it is more accurate (and challenging) than flying in the non-experimental environment.

You're welcome! Let me know if you need further assistance or if you are still having issues! I turned on the experimental flight model, reloaded the X-Plane and made several more flights with similar conditions. I always managed to climb to 10,000 feet without recharging. I did not notice the difference between the "Experimental Flight Model" turned on or off. I just think the batteries should run out faster. Thanks. Oleg. Translated by Google.
