I'm having this issue when loading a saved flight on XPlane 12:
THe G1000 AHRS heading matches the Magnetic compass heading ONLY on the very first flight.
If I try to load a previously saved flight (let's say to practice an approach from a specific point), I have to load it twice and still get issues:
first loading of the saved flight:
> the flight starts with both engines slowing down to end up in a complete stop (screens go dark as expected)
I then load the same saved flight a second time:
This time both engines keep running but I then notice that the G1000 heading on the HSI is way off compared to what the magnetic compass is giving me. So I can't fly any approach since everything is flown using the HSI which is off.
Note: everytime I load this flight (or any other saved flight) from this point forward will give me the same result: both engine stop, then load a second time and then I see the difference between the two headings, which randomly varies after each loading (sometimes 20 deg, 50 deg, 180 deg off completely random).
At this point, the only way that I can start a flight that was previously saved is by checking the box to load it automatically on startup and completely shutdown and restart XPLane 12. Only a complete reboot of Xplane 12 allows me to start the flight with both engines running AND HSI heading matching the magnetic compass heading.
Any idea?
