Enjoying getting to know the 2006T, but have noticed that the elevator trim seems to require extensive "nose down" attitude to maintain level flight, even when in AP "Alt" mode. Not sure if that's normal, or if I set it up wrong to start with.
Also had some exciting TOs when the AP, or something, gave me full "nose up" right at TO. Saw a tech update about this. Was there a fix or do I need to do something?
Just saw an update regarding a HUD. Does it have one and if so how can I access it.
Your checklist shows "after start" runup to 1000 RPM (Bartolini checklist as I recall), while other checklists call for 1200 RPM runups. Is that a big deal?
My night lighting seems very dim, even after maxing out the brightness. How can I better illuminate the instruments?
That's all my newbie questions for now. Thanks!

G8tr Hi OK...here are some answers: Extensive nose down trim input during flight:I will take a second look on this one. Having the autopilot setting its trim with lots of nose-down trim input may indicate a weight and balance issue...now...how do you know that the elevator trim is being set to an "extensive" value? I'm asking because it may also be a trim-indication issue. Either ways, thanks for the input, I'll check it out! Also had some exciting TOs:
OK..that's easy - you have probably engaged the autopilot (switch in the front panel, left pilot side) to on prior to takeoff. You can notice the autopilot starts trimming the aircraft (elevator) as soon as you are engaging it on the ground, so...to avoid the "exciting" takeoffs - simply switch this switch to "on" after take off. The technical reason for this is that this is how X-Plane is currently built, but I have plans to dig in and "detour" this issue soon. Just saw an update regarding a HUD:
Oh...there is no any HUD update. You must have been referred to the glass-cockpit G1000 version of the P2006T? if the answer is 'yes', then, this update will be available only after X-Plane 11 will have a certain update which involves the addition of the G1000. Shortly after this update will be released within X-Plane, the VSKYLABS P2006T will include a second aircraft in the package, with the P1000 avionics. My night lighting seems very dim:
Yes I got this note from another pilot also. Although I am comfortable with it (especially when flying night flights in a dark environment - lights off or dimmed in my PC flying room, as it supposed to be also in real life), I will certainly set it up to be brighter in the next update!
Thanks for your great inputs, I owe you some answers regarding the trim issue and will post it in this topic right after it will be 'checked and resolved'. JetManHuss

Great feedback. Caught the AP on TO. 😑 The trim indicator seems high. Going external seems to show rather extended trim tab too. Weight and CG seem reasonable but I'll double check. What about RPM after start? 1000 or 1200? No big deal? 🤔 Thanks for your help!

The right place to discuss these kind of technical issues (of airplanes),is in the payware discussion boards Anyways I forgot to answer about the RPM. Well, because there might be more than one checklists to follow, best thing is to check the pilot operation manual (link can be found in the project page at www.vskylabs.comI will soon move this topic to the right place in the forum, and will add a link to the pilot operation manual. Either ways, it is not a problematic issue (1200 vs 1000). Thanks JetManHuss.

Bought the Tecnam today but disappointed that the G1000 PFD and MFD do not work; the display is nonsense and the buttons do not respond. Hope this can be fixed soon. Quality control is lacking if a product with a major fault is sold.

Please note that the LR G1000 will only work when using X-Plane 11.10 (currently in beta), as written in red highlighted lines in the project's page, an in the product description in the VSKYLABS and the .ORG stores. If you are not using the X-Plane 11.10 beta version, it will work when X-Plane 11.10 will go final and after you will acquire its update. There are already videos and screenshots made by users who had purchased/updated v4.0, showing the G1000 fully working working - all of them were made using X-Plane 11.10 latest beta.

Hi, Just picked this up after considering it for quite a while. I'm also noticing a dramatic pitch up when the elevators are centered as the plane will nose up to about 35 degrees. Trim has to be set to the nose being almost all the way down before level flight is possible. Seeing that this thread is over a year old, I'm surprised it's still such an issue.

Hi It is not an issue. Please make sure that you are not setting the auto-pilot to 'on' (or engaging one of its modes) while on the ground...as it will auto pitch trim the plane. This is a "normal" behavior of X-Plane's default autopilot.
