Hi all,
I have just bought the P20006T G1000 and I am familiarising myself with the aircraft. Whilst the aircraft flies beautifully, I am struggling with the Garmin G1000. No matter what I do, it is largely unresponsive to virtually all the keys. I can get a short way in the flight planning section but it will not activate the flight plan. Additionally, the range function does not work.
I am obviously doing something wrong, but in the absence of a manual, I have no idea what. The alternative version with the older Garmin works a treat.

In order to get it fully functional you will need to load the aircraft on X-Plane 11.10 which is currently a beta version. (this note is written in the project's page and in both stores in the description of the project). If you are not using the beta version of X-Plane 11.10, the G1000 will work properly as X-Plane 11.10 will go final, and you will have X-Plane update completed. Thanks for the feedback regarding the Analog version with the old Garmin...you will find the G1000 version a treat also Regarding a manual - I will soon post a link to Garmin's manual. Excluding some "deep water" features - it is usable also with X-Plane G1000. I can recommend also to look for videos on You tube. There are quite a few good ones! Down here is an example (I don't own this video). I hope that my answer is useful for you

Many thanks for a very rapid and comprehensive reply. I had forgotten that I had not upgraded to 11.10b6, the latest. I have had a quick look at the G1000 and you are quite right - it is remarkable.
Many thanks again for your help,
colsig

Sorry to be a pain but, when I load the aircraft I get the following error message in the log file

As I said above, the G1000 continues to amaze, especially the airfield layout on very low ranges
