Hi! Update is expected to be during April. If I'll get lucky, maybe in two weeks... Sorry to hassle you but wondered how the fix/update was coming along? Thanks

Hi btv128, Sorry for the delayed response. A lot is going on at VSKYLABS these days... Thank you for your feedback! Regarding the specific models that you asked for: my roadmap of trikes development is including the development of real-life, familiar trikes. Exact models had yet to be chosen. I will post updates in this matter when time is right, probably in couple of months. I'm taking your suggestions into my consideration JetManHuss. Also, did you make any decisions on roadmap and other trikes? I have started doing some navigation practice and it would be handy to have something that cruised a little quicker than the s1. Thanks again.

Hi!
It's ok!
The Trikes update was scheduled to April, but I had to postpone it for a few weeks; I'm working on the Tecnam P2006T, and some of the new features that I've included in it, are going to take place in the Trikes/Eurofox/Phoenix packages (such as the built in GNS interface etc.)
So, I assume that within a couple of weeks I'll push the Trikes and the other packages update.
Without any connection to the upcoming update for the Trikes (couple of weeks) I can say that after the P2006T release will get stable (during June 2016), the Trikes package is scheduled to have a really, huge major upgrade.

Is there any chance of getting a quick fix for the tumble issue whilst you work on the new features? I sent you a mail with a little more detail on this request earlier in the week. Thanks

Sorry for the delayed response and thank you for "shooting" your question in more than one place! (your email was pending for my reply). The major update for the flight dynamics was initiated after our last discussion regarding the tumbling. In the current setup, it can be trimmed a bit but not fixed. I recommend on keeping your cruise speed lower, and manage the transition to descent with reduced engine thrust. Especially when you need to loose altitude in a powered descent. The update to the flight model will be the 1st phase of the whole update so I will try to push it so it will be ready sooner than later. Thanks again!

Hi
Really looking forward to the update as i have stopped flying the trike due to the tumbling, even doing what JetManHuss suggests.

Hi Really looking forward to the update as i have stopped flying the trike due to the tumbling, even doing what JetManHuss suggests. Hi guys (everyone), I was aware of the over tendency to tumble issue, and I planned to solve it during the major update that is planned for the package in August 2017. But...the last feedback from btv128 got me to acknowledge: Having a VSKYLABS aircraft grounded or not fully used, for any reason, is intolerable So, although the package is scheduled to go through the major update during August 2017...I've decided to release an update-fix that will address the tumbling tendency (for all of the trikes variants). This is a temporary "snap-shot" of the re-modeled flight dynamics model, on its way to the major update release that is planned for August. This update-fix will be released in couple of hours, bringing the versions to v009 (S-1,S-1F,S-3). Among other issues, the cruise speed of the S-1 variants is slightly higher, and tire friction was re tuned for better off-runway acceleration.

Great, thank you very much. This should address my immediate needs. Looking forward to august now also, keep up the good work.

Hi JetMan
Fantastic- what a huge difference! Back to flying the Trike - thanks.

Yes, seems a lot better in many respects, especially the stalls and higher cruise speed is very useful.
I think the older one was more similar to what I'm training on for glide descents and I'd like to use that for circuit work. Although I may get the new one more like I want by altering payload weights etc.
I can copy both directories into xplane aircraft folder, and they both show up, but both have the same title. Its not a huge deal, but where can I customise "VSKYLABS 'Trike S-1'" on the aircraft choice screen?
(I know this is a general question not related to the vskylabs product)
Otherwise, its great and will help me a lot whilst I wait for the full update. Thanks

Hi. Was just wondering how the major update was coming along. Is there an ETA? Thanks

Hi. Was just wondering how the major update was coming along. Is there an ETA? Thanks Hi there! The major update is coming along pretty good! Regarding specific ETA...it is a bit complicated for me to determine an exact ETA...the DC-3/C-47 Flying Lab project had to get my extra attention to get it stabilized. Part of its development was the FMOD upgrade. I decided to get this (FMOD) done within the DC-3 project first, because the complexity of the aircraft and its systems that covers many aspects, so after it will be completed, I could implement it easily in the rest of my project. My "strategic plan" worked perfectly, but the trade-off was a 3-4 weeks of delay with other projects (although the P2006T had a planned update two weeks ago). The Trikes project is still under work on its update, and hopefully a general ETA would be 1-2 months. When it will arrive...it will be a celebration, because it will feature a surprise
